Thinning Hair – Making It Less Of A Taboo Subject

Jennie Bond – former BBC Royal correspondent and TV presenter

As one of TV’s most well groomed presenters, Jennie Bond knows just how important it is to keep up appearances. So when Jennie recently discovered her hair was thinning, she was naturally concerned.

Viviscal.

“Like any woman, my appearance is important to me,” says Jennie, “but there’s also the added pressure of looking good in front of the camera too. Wide screen television and high definition hasn’t helped much either as every blemish is now much more on show, so when I discovered that my hair was thinning it made me much more self-conscious about my appearance.

I started noticing a bit of thinness along my parting but it was more recently when I had a fringe cut it really began to show. My mother commented on my hair looking thin at the front.

It made me feel much more self conscious about my appearance and I tried to disguise it as much as possible by sweeping my hair across the thin area. I also grew nervous of brushing my hair too vigorously.”

I tried thickening shampoos but that was a complete waste of money and left my hair looking ghastly. It was then I began to do some serious research and discovered Viviscal.

I’ve always been interested in nutrition and diet and when I heard that Viviscal was drug-free and contains high levels of protein which helps boost the natural regrowth of hair it made sense to me to feed my hair from within. There’s also lots of research to back up the worldwide success rate of Viviscal compared to other hair supplements.

It’s not instant – you really do need to keep taking the supplement for at least three months to see results. After three months of using both the supplement and hair care products I could really see the difference. My hair looks thicker and glossier than it was before and my family has noticed it too. In fact my husband, who has a good head of hair on him, is so impressed that he is also now taking the Viviscal Man supplement to keep his hair looking healthy.

Getting the right information about thinning hair was very reassuring to me. Women feel more under pressure to look good than they have ever done which includes having healthy, glossy hair. If I can help others by sharing my experience of thinning hair and making it less of a taboo subject, then I’m glad to speak out.

I did a lot of research about thinning hair but there needs to be more information to help people generally. The more that thinning hair is brought out in to the open, the less embarrassing it will be to admit to it and the easier it will be for people to find solutions.
